Boomtown Lass 2015 Born 05/09/2015

Boomalicious

Spirit of Boom was a racehorse which captured the imagination of racegoers. He finished in the TOP 4 in Group 1 Races eleven times in his career. He gave his all every time he took to the track and like fine wine catapulted to new heights with age. He was stakes placed in the first listed race of the race as a 2-year-old pre – Christmas and went on to be Group 2 placed in the Brisbane Winter Carnival of the same year.  Some 4 years later he twice reached the pinnacle of racing capturing 2 Group 1’s in his final year of racing.

He looks a great match for the Red Dazzler mare Boomalicious who we owned and raced. Red Dazzler has thrown great size into his stock as a broodmare sire and as you look deeper into her pedigree some of racing’s elite appear in it. These include her 2nd Dam Broodmare sire Alleged and goes back to the immediate family of Suave Dancer. Boomalicious showed that she could run after taking a couple of starts to work it all out. Upon completion of her first preparation she had a good spell and came back a far mature racehorse. Her first public outing seen her romp home in an Eagle Farm barrier trial by 7.5lengths before coming out and winning her maiden at the same track before heading to Ipswich to win her very next start.

From thereon in she struggles with injury ultimately never reaching her full potential and headed to the breeding barn with a lightly raced 14 start career where she saluted in 3 of those.

Chris has worked for many years in the racing industry, building a great deal of knowledge about training techniques and horse health.  Through Chris's dedication and passion for thoroughbreds, he has also made a number of outstanding relationships and contacts with industry participants and regulators, and in doing so, has developed a great stable of horses.
Prior to training, Chris gained a wealth of business experience from a range of corporate roles. He also successfully renovated, managed and sold his own pub.  One of Chris's desires is to get owners more involved with their horse/s and for that reason they are always welcome to visit the Anderson Racing stable on course at Eagle Farm.

Chris has an experienced team working with him at Anderson Racing including vet Leticia Kelly, track rider Adam Morrison (formerly of John Hawkes) and farrier John Neiman.
