Boom Racing stallion

Spirit of Boom : Eureka Stud - SERVICE FEE: $55,000

spirit of boom

Spirit of Boom is Australia's leading son of the country's most consistent sire of the past decade, Sequalo. He is the modern day iron horse, having raced uninterrupted for five seasons at the highest level. Spirit, as he is affectionately known, became one of the most popular horses in the country and formed one part of the “Boom Brothers”.
His popularity skyrocketed  in the last 12 months of his racing career, with consistent performances at the elite level start-after-start. He broke through at Group 1 level in the autumn 2014 and  it didn't take long before he became a dual Group 1 winner when taking out the 2014 Doomben 10000 when the Boom Brothers finished 1-2. He finished in the top four at Group 1 level, 11 times and overall 30 times in Stakes Company. His uncanny ability to turn in outstanding final sectionals, culminating in numerous blistering finishes seen the son out of Stakes placed  mare Temple Spirit develop a cult following among loyal racing fans.
Such admiration has extended to Spirit's Group 1 winning brother, Temple of Boom, with the duo showing durability and consistent speed in all seasonal contests over the past five years.

No stallion in the modern era has produced in their first season like Spirit of Boom did on the track. By finishing with 18 individual winners and 5 Stakes winners he emulated and surpassed the feats of the best stallions to stand in this country. He completed his first season on the track crowned the Leading First Season Sire by Winners & Stakes Winners as well as being the leading 2yo sire in the land for producing Stakes Winners.

His prize money total just shy of $2,000,000 would have won him the First Season Sire in every other year in the history of racing. He embarks on his second season with optimism for the future having a quality bunch of 3yo's to fly the flag as well as another crop of promising 2yo's ready to pick up where the stellar crop left off last year.
