Boom Racing's Race Horses

Snicki Minaj

Snicki Minaj

Hinchinbrook has taken all before him since heading to stud culminating in being crowned the leading 2nd season sire in 2015-16 with prizemoney earnings of over $4 million which had him clear of his nearest rival by nearly $2 million dollars.

This filly is currently flying the flag for Boom Racing Thoroughbreds and our owners. Having won her 1st trial in a canter after doing similar in a jump out she started out in Listed Grade in the Calaway Gal stakes where she had no luck down the straight. In the end she was beaten 3.1 lengths behind Magic Millions placegetter Outback Barbie who is her work mate on the gallops.

This filly runs at Doomben on the 20th January over 1110m.

Casual Witness

Casual Witness

This filly is by Star Witness who continues to produce high class fillies and mares. Casual Witness was impressive in her first trial running 2nd and was due to kick off her race career in mid December. Unfortunately she pulled up with an issue 2 days out from starting and is now in the spelling paddock recovering.

She will take this time to grow and develop and we are confident we will have a very talented filly to race upon return. Her improvement on the track and in her muscle development over the past 3 months before heading to the paddock was made at a rapid rate.

Boomtown Lass

Boomalicious

This filly is by the Boom 1st Season Stallion Spirit of Boom who is taking all before him at stud. He has already sired 3 stakes winners with his progeny in his 1st 3 months of the season. 3 time City winning mare Boomalicious was a lightly raced mare whose career was cut short through injury. She won from 1200-1650 metres. The cross with Red Dazzler has already proven to be successful with promising New Zealand colt Beastmode.

This filly is now in her 2nd preparation and is starting to learn her trade having improved dramatically over the past 3-4 weeks. She has had a series of unofficial jump outs and will look to get to an official jump out before being tipped out.

Spirit of Morocco

By our Dual Group 1 winning sire Spirit of Boom this girl is out of Moroccan Dancer who is by the leading broodmare sire in this country General Nediym who this year has produced 3 Group 1 winners and earnings of over 9 million.

This has him 3rd on the leading broodmare sires list just behind Encosta De Lago who has had an astonishing 316 more runners and Danehill who has had 160 more runners.

Spirit of Boom was precocious who trained on to win his group 1's as a 6 year old. He has instilled that ability into his progeny proving a sensation in the breeding barn with 3 stakes winners and 7 individual winners before christmas. This made him both the leading 2-year-old sire in the country as well as leading the first season sire ranks comfortably.

Our Comrade Rob

A big strong colt by the Leading First season sire Smart Missile. Smart Missile was exhilarating on the track and regarded by leading jockeys as the fastest horse they have ever sat on. His popularity at stud is best captured by the fact that he has served 997 mares in his first 5 seasons at stud.

The dam Adio by the great Lohnro was herself a very good racehorse who had her career cut short after just 2 starts in which she was victorious on both occasions. Her trainer John Hawkes had a high opinion and declared her a Group class horse.

This colt is now in his 3rd preparation and continues to impress all and sundry. Former 2-year-old training guru Darryl Gollan believes this colt will put us on the map. He is a big colt and will be handled with kid gloves as he progresses in his preparations. It is likely that his 3-year-old year will be the time he will show his wares.

Spirit of Boom - Swing and Miss: Unnamed

Spirit of Boom - Swing and Miss

By our Dual Group 1 winning sire Spirit of Boom this girl is from a high class winning family through the second dam and the 1st dam has done a good job from her 6 foals to run producing 5 winners. Spirit of Boom was precocious who trained on to win his group 1's as a 6 year old. He has instilled that ability into his progeny proving a sensation in the breeding barn with 3 stakes winners and 7 individual winners before christmas making him both the leading 2-year-old sire in the country as well as leading the first season sire ranks comfortably.

He has definitely left his mark on his progeny with big back ends the order of the day. This girl is now in her 3rd preparation and is hoping to at least get to the trials this preparation. She has been given time in her spells to furnish and is going to be a good sized mare in years to come. Craig Cousins is very happy with her progress and is hoping after finishing her last campaign with a 2nd in a short jump out she can continue to progress.

El Campeador

By Captain Sonador this gelding is a quality racehorse and listed class quality on his day. He is the winner of 6 wins and over $156,000 in prizemoney. Big El won 2 Metropolitan Races last campaign and over $90,000 in Stakes money in total.

The ground under foot is extremely important in terms of performance. His best performances are on a track that is on the dead side of good.
