Boom Racing Mares

Angelic Light

Angelic Light

A high class mare who famously beat the world’s best sprinter Lankan Rupee in the Group 2 McEwen as well as finishing an extremely unlucky 2nd in the Group 1 Manikato Stakes beaten a nose and runner up to Platelet in the Group 1 Sangster . She also finished 3rd and 4th in the Group 1 Moir Stakes. Unfortunately a persistent tendon injury meant we never saw the absolute best from her. Her 1st and 2nd dam's were both Black type winners meaning her subsequent foal will have its 1st 3 dams as black type winners. She was serviced in 2015 by Sebring and subsequently produced a colt by the leading Widden Stud stallion. Unfortunately she recently passed away from a severe attack of colic and will be sorely missed by all. RIP

Miss Leibert

Miss Leibert

A good quality mare with prizemoney earnings of $181,750 . A winner of 6 races but perhaps her best run was in defeat when beaten a head by dual Group 1 Mare Driefontien in the Magic Millions Fillies and Mares Quality. Her Dam Stravain Lady has had 5 to race for 5 winners including 4 year old Lady Jetsetter who has won $263,740 from 6 wins and her 3 year old full sibling Dead Set Jet who has acquired $51,100 from 2 wins. Both these horses show tremendous promise and will look for black type status in the upcoming year. Unfortunately her cracking Spirit of Boom colt died in a paddock accident in her 1st year but returned in 2015 and produced another top quality colt this year. She has produced a healthy, friendly colt in 2017 to BRT Stallion Spirit of Boom.

Boomalicious

Boomalicious

A 3 time winner who broke her maiden status at Doomben after a trial victory of 7.5 lengths at the same track. An Alleged mare who had constant injury problems but on her day was of city class standard. She is a half sister to the multiple Stakes Placed Zorba's Tale and also closely related to Group 1 winner Zavite. With champions running through her 3rd and 4th dams her potential upside in the breeding barn is enormous. Boomalicious has a yearling by BRT Stallion Spirit Of Boom who has developed exceptionally and has recently foaled down another Spirit Of Boom colt who weighed in at 64kgs at birth In 2017.

RReady To Belong

ready to belong

Owned in partnership with Eureka Stud. An unraced More than Ready mare out of the brilliant Belong to Many. Belong to Many was the winner of 4 Stakes races including the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes along with Black type wins in Victoria and Queensland. Ready to Belong was unraced due to a Sciatica issue but was described by the leading trainer in Australia Peter Snowden as being very quick. If she can instill that into her progeny than the upside is enormous. Her mother still has 2 Sepoy progeny to run, was served in 2015 by hot sire I am Invincible and her only foal to run is the smart Majestic Lass who is by champion sire Redoute’s Choice and trained by David Hayes. Her 1st season at stud produced a colt by Stryker and 2016 produced a filly by BRT Stallion Spirit Of Boom. She has foaled down on 25th September a colt to BRT Stallion Stallion in 2017.

Flawless Choice

Flawless Choice

This well performed mare by super-sire Redoute’s Choice is part of a black type family. Flawless Choice is a half-sister to Sydney stakes placed mare SARAMENHA, related to TRIUMPHANT JEWEL (winner of the Breguet Plate Stakes at Sha Tin in 2013), and Singapore Group winner Good Businessman-In Bloom. Her dam is the excellent producing Woodman mare Speedy Topaze, producer of the Topaze line of horses that have been seen at the races over many years (Dark Topaze, Star Topaze, Magic Topaze, Sheza Single Girl etc). The mare was bought as a yearling at the Australian Easter Yearling sale for $400,000. She has given birth to a filly by Spirit of Boom in 2017.

Flawless Choice retired to the breeding barn with a race record of 4 wins and 9 placings from 29 starts, winning from 1400m to 1843m. In partnership with Golden Gully Farms.

Limealicious

Limealicious

In partnership with Golden Gully Farms. An Exceed and Excel mare who was 4th in a listed race as a 2yo in Melbourne. A lightly raced 2 time winning mare who has this past breeding season thrown arguably the best type by Spirit of Boom. That colt sold recently for $70,000 at the Magic Millions January sale. That colt named Ef Troop has since won his 1st start in record time at Doomben. She has again produced another strong colt in 2016 by BRT stallion Spirit of Boom and was again served by Spirit of Boom 2016. She has since produced a strong filly by Spirit of Boom weighing in at 59kgs despite being 3 weeks early in 2017.
